No investors, no team, no marketing budget. Just me, a laptop, and a lot of dogs who have unknowingly helped train a breed classifier. If Boop has made you smile and you'd like to help it keep going, this page is how. It is entirely optional, and the app stays free either way.
Not a vague "supporting development". These are the real bills, in the order they hurt.
One-off, no account, no subscription. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay all work. Handled by Stripe, so no payment details ever touch this site.
Two months of domain costs, or a stack of leaflets for a dog show.
Send ยฃ10A third of the Apple Developer fee. Three of these and Boop is on the App Store for another year.
Send ยฃ25support.html, fill in DONATE near the bottom of
the file, and this notice disappears on its own. Instructions are in the
comment beside it.
Boop gives 5% of everything it makes to UK animal welfare charities, off the top rather than off the profit. That covers every subscription and every tip on this page, so of a ยฃ10 contribution, 50p goes straight out before any of it reaches a bill. Every payment is published, with amounts and recipients, at boopapp.uk/giving.
The other 95% is not a charity donation. It goes to me, to pay the costs listed above, and it counts as taxable income rather than a gift. So if your goal is helping animals rather than keeping Boop alive, give to a rescue directly. They will do more with the whole amount than I will with a twentieth of it, and I would genuinely rather you did that.
Nothing. That is deliberate.
Paying money should never be a shortcut past the collecting, and a donation that quietly unlocked something would make this a shop rather than a thank-you.
Genuinely. A review is worth more to a new app than ยฃ10 is.
Reviews decide whether the App Store shows Boop to anyone at all. It is the single highest-leverage thing you can do, and it is free.

Boop spreads at the park, not on the internet. One person you walk with beats a thousand impressions.
