Terms of Use

Last updated 3 August 2026

The rules for using Boop. They are short, and they are meant to be readable.

Agreement

By downloading or using Boop you agree to these terms. Boop is provided by Taiwo Omisore, an independent developer in the United Kingdom. If you do not agree, please delete the app.

Using Boop

Boop is for scanning animals and objects you can lawfully photograph, and collecting them as stickers. You agree not to:

Always ask before photographing someone else's pet. It is good manners, and in some places it is the law.

Your content

Your photos and stickers are yours. You keep all rights to them.

If you submit a pet for Pet of the Day, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display that photo, the pet's name and your first name inside the app and in material promoting Boop. You can ask us to remove it at any time by emailing hello@boopapp.uk. You confirm the photo is yours to submit.

Boop Pro

Boop is free to use. Boop Pro is an optional purchase that unlocks unlimited sticker-book pages, every card finish, exports, and the rest of the Pro features listed in the app.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, under the App Store terms. If something has gone wrong, email us anyway - we will help you raise it.

The 5% pledge. We donate 5% of all revenue Boop generates - not of profit, of everything, including subscriptions and tips - to registered animal welfare charities in the UK. We are agreeing terms with those charities now, and each will be named here, and on the Giving Back page in the app, once that is in place. Until it is, we deliberately do not name them. This is a commitment we make voluntarily and intend to keep permanently. It does not make your purchase a charitable donation for tax purposes, and it does not create any legal relationship between you and those charities.

Tips

Tips in the Tip Jar are voluntary, unlock nothing, and are not refundable except through Apple. Thank you, genuinely.

Breed identification

Breed recognition is a best guess made by a machine-learning model. It will sometimes be wrong. Boop is a game, not a veterinary, pedigree or scientific tool, and must not be relied on for any decision about an animal's health, breeding, value or provenance.

Availability

We aim to keep Boop working, but it is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Features may change or be withdrawn, and the app may be unavailable at times. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Boop in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending these terms

You can stop using Boop at any time by deleting it. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, for example, by uploading unlawful content.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of your local law.
